Two new engineering interns at Hamworthy Pumps

Recently, we have successfully collaborated with Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) on Integrated Work Study Programme for two of their Year 3 students from 2 August 2021 to 28 January 2022.
Mr Muhammad Nuh Fadli Bin Abdul Li’Ngat from Offshore Engineering Faculty has taken up the role of Sales Support Engineer. He will be hosted by Ms Joanne Tan from New Build Support & Order Management, Tendering. The role will involve reviewing of RFQs and provide Technical and Commercial quotations as per required specification in accordance timeline. Ensuring cost and price accuracy for each quotation generated and perform quote revision/s whenever required on timely basis.
Mr Muhammad Shobri Bin Mohmad Sahfiee from Mechanical Design and Manufacturing Engineering Faculty has taken up the role of Product Support Engineer. He will be hosted by Mr Per Abrahamsen, supporting the team in data maintenance improvement for automated quotation system. Implement improvements in the data structure. Provide support to tendering/sales team with regards to engineering drawings and technical information on the product.
As a participating organisation in this program, we will want to be seen as an active player in serving our various academies to fulfil their roles in providing their students with all aspects of relevant educational training. The students will put their knowledge and skills that they acquired in their academic study to practice. In additional to the practical skill, they will acquire interpersonal and collaborative skills through working in teams and with professionals. This can and will prepare them for ready absorption into the workforce once they enter their working life.
