When a server receives a request from a computer, which stores a cookie from a website, the server can use the information stored in the cookie in combination with the information stored on the server. A cookie cannot collect information from your computer and cannot carry any vira or other damaging files.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form and the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Mailing Lists

As part of the registration process for our e-newsletter, we collect personal information. We do not rent or trade our email lists with other organizations and businesses.

We use a third-party provider to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry-standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails.

As part of our continued effort to improve, we conduct periodic satisfaction surveys. We collect personal information in the process to identify possible action points for our customers.

As part of our recruiting process, we might use a third-party software solution to handle job adverts, documents and materials submitted by applicants, correspondence, and onboarding.

Third Parties

Personal data will not be disclosed to anyone outside Svanehoj without your consent unless permitted or required under applicable legislation.

Access to your personal information

In general, we delete or anonymize your personal data when it is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected and subsequently processed.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is to recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

If you have submitted personal data to us, you can view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
