Senior Regional Sales Manager – China

Your primary tasks will be:

  • Champion Country Strategy for newbuild growth
  • Create and implement a full regional business plan
  • Develop Channel Sales Strategy; Existing Agent/Distributor management and appoint New Agent/Distributors for market reach
  • Generate sales leads that turn into potential customers
  • Reach out to the market with a focus to increase new customers / yards
  • Visit all region key accounts, maintain, and grow relationships with existing and new accounts
  • Ensure all opportunities are registered and update in CRM on promptly or on weekly basis
  • Set and achieve sales target assigned. Ownership for all product offering and business developments for the assigned region
  • Create CRM opportunities from live enquiries and leverage on Clarkson’s / market data to tap on possible leads
  • Lead all sales opportunities in the region; contract negotiation; work with Product Segment Head to win orders.
  • Review all contract agreements and flag key concerns to direct manager for approval if deviates from standard acceptance
  • Identify local Exhibitions for attendance

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5-10 year’s work experience with selling similar equipment within the maritime industry
  • Good connection with major yards in China will be considered a strong advantage
  • A fast learner, who is quickly able to familiarize with Hamworthy Pumps products and solutions
  • Strong sales and negotiations skills
  • Strong technical understanding or interest is an advantage
  • Good knowledge of Centrifugal Pumps will be considered a strong advantage
  • In-depth market knowledge of the Chinese maritime industry
  • Experience with managing agents/distributors
  • Excellent Team / people management skill set, as well as the ability to handle key accounts / customers assigned
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin

  • A team player, but extremely self-driven and enterprising in your daily work
  • Deeply engaged and professional in cooperation with colleagues and agents/decision makers
  • Structured and good at creating an overview of activities
  • Willingness to travel
