ISO certificates renewed: Quality, environment, health and safety in focus
A successful ISO audit has verified that Hamworthy Pumps’ management systems meet international standards.
Hamworthy Pumps has a long and proud history, spanning more than a century, as a supplier of pump solutions for vital applications in the marine and offshore industries. As a leading manufacturer of specialised in-line pumps, Hamworthy Pumps works purposefully to deliver the absolute highest quality to its customers in all respects.
Therefore, it is of great importance to the management of Hamworthy Pumps that in October we succeeded in obtaining a renewal of the ISO certifications 9001 (quality) and 14001 (environmental) and a conversion from OHSAS 18001 to 45001 (occupational health and safety).
“We are proud to, once again, be ISO certified after a thorough third-party review of DNV GL. It’s a big pat on the back for the entire organisation, which has worked hard to optimise procedures and processes so that we can live up to customers’, the authorities’ and not least our own expectations,” says Managing Director Mark Lawson.
The ISO certifications send a message to the outside world that Hamworthy Pumps is a modern and development-oriented company that attaches great importance to customer service, the environment and the health and safety of its employees.
“We are continually trying to improve. The ISO standards are effective tools for ensuring that our internal procedures are uniform and optimised so that we can be the best business partner for our customers,” says Mark Lawson.
Hamworthy Pumps has a long history of compliance with ISO standards. The manufacturing facility in Singapore obtained 9001 certification in 1994, OHSAS 18001 in 2006, and 14001 in 2007. The company is constantly improving its processes and procedures to comply with all the updates in ISO standards. The new certifications cover both the Singapore and the UK facilities.
